An interesting thing to know about the Monaco circuit is that in the evenings after the days racing, the track is opened up to the public. There are bands playing and people partying, with drinks being spilled and cigarette ends being dropped on the track. The following morning the track is closed off again and given a clean-up. It certainly is an unusual circuit!

Qualifying Results. 13:00 UK BST.
Maldonado got a penalty and drops ten grid places for causing a collision in final practice. Michael Schumacher also got a penalty and drops five grid places for causing a collision in the last round. Sergio Perez had failed to set a time within the 107% requirement and races at stewards' discretion.
