Ayrton Senna.
This race is also marking the anniversary of Ayrton Senna's fatal crash on May 1st 1994 at Imola circuit. The BBC did a very nice homage to Ayrton Senna at the start of the program on race-day.
- Ayrton Senna, winner of three Formula 1 titles, died aged 34 on 1 May, 1994, when his Williams car crashed at the San Marino Grand Prix at Imola.

This week we have had amazing calls from Bernie Ecclestone to reduce the noise from formula 1 cars. I can hardly believe it! It is probably going to happen, F1 has always had complaints from the public about noise and pollution.
The most impressive thing about a formula one car that give you an instant wake up call, the first time you ever hear one in real life, is the impressive noise from the engine. Now they are trying to take that away from us! Everything is changing in F1. I can understand the point about the noise from a formula one race, but what really surprises me about this report, is that its Bernie Ecclestone who doing the complaining!
Ecclestone Schm-Ecclestone. (What did you say? I can't hear you over those damn noisy F1 cars)!
Bernie has a few legal problems right now, I wonder if that is what is really getting to him, enough to make him start complaining about the noise-issue? Ecclestone's alleged bribery case. Or perhaps he is just trying to divert some of the reports about his trial in Germany over allegations of bribery. The trial is expected to last six months. This was just reported on BBC1 this race day, and is the first I heard about Bernie Ecclestone Legal Issues.
